Spotlight on…Venturing Out

Venturing Out is an East Lothian based CIC (community interest company) offering a wide range of outdoor activities.

Their social purpose is to offer adventurous outdoor experiences to East Lothian’s disabled community, children living in poverty and vulnerable children & adults.

Over the next few month they will be working towards this aim with a view to having regular provision in place for 2017.

The organisation works in partnership with East Lothian Council’s Outdoor Learning Service and has been delivering a pilot Alternative Learning Programme for primary age children.

Venturing Out also trades commercially delivering activities to a broad client base, the profits from which feed back into the social projects.
